Inky Dinky Piccolo by Michael Isaacson
Variations on Mademoiselle from Armentieres
For Solo Piccolo
Duration: 3:30

Mademoiselle from Armentieres is a World World I (1914-1918) trench song sung from first by British expeditionary forces and later by U.S. soldiers (Doughboys) in France. There are several variations of lyrics available. In these instrumental variations, in addition to his original etudes, the composer Michael Isaacson playfully employs fragments of the French folk songs Frere Jacques, Au Claire De La Lune, The French National Anthem - The Marseillaise and Camille Saint-Saens The Swan from Carnival of the Animals.
