America's #1 flute specialty house since 1983.
Considered one of the great masters of Romantic music, this Polish composer was also a virtuoso pianist. In Europe from the middle 1600s to the 1930's, the main form of entertainment, especially after a dinner with friends, was the chamber music concert, played by the guests. Many times there would be professionals at these gatherings, but the performances were usually by the amateurs. To provide music for this large group of musical enthusiasts, music publishers arranged piano works, quartets and even operas to be performed by flutists, violinists and cellists with piano accompaniment. Originally for piano, these seven pieces are: Grande Valse brillante op18; Valse brillante op34n1, Valse brillante op34n2; Valse brillante op34n3; Valse op42, Valse op64n1 and Valse op64n2.
