In its original inception, this piece was meant to be a ballet played and danced by the performer. If this is not possible, the addition of a dancer or dancers is suggested. While there is no set choreography, the performer is encouraged to be somewhat free with the interpretation of the music: in this case, music and choreography should have an equal role in the portrayal of the story. It must also be said that while choreography is encouraged, it is by no means mandatory and the piece can be performed without any choreographed movement. In that case, it is suggested that the performer reveal the story to the listener beforehand.
