This is a collection of eight new compositions for flute and organ, which came about after a conversation between a flutist and organist at a church musician conference.  The compositions are varied in mood and style, exploring the colors and technical capabilities of each instrument, and offer a variety of possibilities for liturgical use and concert programming.  The contents are:  John Jones, A Welsh Tryptych; David Evan Thomas, Carol Suite (Prelude, O Jesulein Suss, The Lamb of God, Wexford Carol); Arron David Miller, Estampie; Bruce Neswick, Elegy "CGH"; Karen P. Thomas, Sonus et Vita (Variations on Hidegard Von Bingen's Laus Trinitati); David Lasky, Suite Brevis (Dance, Litany, Rondeau); Frank Ferko, Te Lucis Ante Terminum (Introduction and Variations on a Medieval Chant); Lynn L. Petersen, Whirlwind Duo.  The compact disc is a recording of the pieces, so that the flutist and organist can hear the different pieces.
