A modern American composer, he composed this into three movements.  Each movement portrays a style of music that echoes a Latino phrase with a contemporary sound.  Con Vida (With Life) is energetic and happy.  This movement uses punctuating rhythms while still being very melodic with lyrical passages.  The second section, Mi Amor (My Love), is written in a habanera dance style with extremely lyrical melodies.  This should be played in a sensual way that emits the emotional feelings associated with unconditional love. The third section, Ole (Bravo, Well done!), begins with a typical Latino unison theme followed by the same melody as a duet setting the stage for anticipating the thrilling excitement of what to expect next.  Each movement of the composition makes use of typical syncopated rhythms associated with the flavor and interpretative themes associated with Latino music in a contemporary style.
