Payments
We accept Visa, Discover, MasterCard and America Express for sheet music, accessories and recordings orders. All orders are considered final. Due to wear-and-tear on sheet music, office costs, etc., we regret that no orders can be shipped out on approval.

Gift certificates can be used online if they have a 12 digit Gift Certificate code.  If you are using a gift certificate marked "Must be redeemed in-store only" you will be required to mail the gift certificate back to the store in order for the gift certificate to be applied to your order.  You can include the 4-digit gift certificate number and value in the comments box, but the gift certificate must then be mailed back to the store in order for the gift certificate redemption process to be complete and for you to receive the proper credit. Instrument orders - For instrument trials to our US customers, a valid credit card is required for instruments to be shipped.  Instrument orders with an international shipping and/or billing address will require pre-payment by bank wire transfer only.  Please email our instrument department prior to placing your order with any questions you may have.

Sales Tax 
Sales tax is charged to customers placing an order with a Michigan shipping and/or billing address. Michigan state laws require that we charge a sales tax on the full amount of the order. No sales tax is charged when buying gift certificates; purchases paid for with gift certificates, however, will be charged sales tax if the billing and/or shipping address is in Michigan.

Sheet Music & Recording Discounts 
Flute World now offers all of its customers discounts on all sheet music.  Your 10% off discount is reflected on your shopping cart price.

Sheet music discounts are based on the dollar-value of each music / CD order as shown below.

CDs are offered at 20% off retail price.  The maximum discount on CDs is 20%.

Accessories Discounts
Prices displayed for accessories reflect the already discounted price for each item, when applicable. 

Instrument Discounts
We offer various discounted pricing on most instruments, depending on manufacturer agreements.  Further inquiry recommended.

Specials (Sales)
All items on our periodic sale (specials) are given special discounts and are not subject to additional discounts. However, they will count in the discount category (above) given to the order items on the same order.

Search Criteria
We have a few helpful hints to assist you in searching for items on our website. 

We have several search boxes present: Global Search, Instrument Search, Flute Music Search, Accessories Search and Recording Search. The Global Search box will search the entire site for the text you enter.  The other search boxes will only search those particular categories of the website for your search text.  

1. Our website uses a database search, not a search engine search like you find with Google.  The less text you include in the box, the easier it will be to find the item you are looking for.  Since it is a database search, you need to enter text exactly the way it is found in our database - otherwise you will not receive any result.  For example, if you are looking for Mozart's Concerto 1 in G Major, you need to enter Concerto 1, or Concerto 1 in G.  Typing the complete phrase (Mozart's Concerto 1 in G Major) will not yield any results because it is in our database as Concerto 1 in G.

2. Composers are listed by last name only, so typing in J.S. Bach will not bring up pieces composed by that composer. Try Bach or Bach,JS to get the results you need.

3. Spelling counts!  Make sure that you are spelling the word(s) you are searching for correctly. If you are unsure of a spelling of a particular composer, try the first few letters, or try various spellings. For example, if you are looking for pieces by Joachim Andersen, typing in Anderson will not give you the correct result.

4. Most numbers (i.e. 24 Short Concert Pieces) have the number spelled out.  Try "twenty-four" instead of "24," or "seven" instead of "7."

Instrument Search Box - You can search by Brand, Model and Description.
Flute Music Search - You can seach by composer's last name, product code, title, publisher or grade.
Recordings - You can search by performer's last name, composer's last name, product code and title.
Accessories Search Box - You can search by product name, product code or description. 

Pricing
We believe in keeping our prices as low as possible, but consistent with high quality service. We promise each customer a fair price corresponding to the manufacturer's or publisher's price. However, due to conditions beyond our control (publishers' increases, foreign price fluctuations, etc.), we cannot guarantee the stability of the prices in this catalog. Prices are subject to change without notice. We cannot be responsible for notification of price changes prior to shipment, although current prices will be supplied upon request on an individual basis.  Because there are Internet pricing restrictions set forth by many manufacturers, some discount prices cannot be listed online or in our printed catalog.  It is advisable to call us to verify our best prices at (866) 353-5883.

Flute World is not responsible for any pricing or typographical errors, customer computer or browser glitches when placing orders, etc. 

Availability (Backorders)
We will automatically backorder any item not currently in stock unless directed otherwise. We will try to obtain these items in a reasonable length of time. The length of time it takes a backorder to come in varies according to seasonal conditions at the publishers, items indefinitely out-of-print, foreign imports, or music which must be handled by an exclusive distributor. Such situations are beyond our control, and we will attempt to notify you if such a delay occurs or is foreseen. Please notify us of any time restriction, or request whatever restrictions you find necessary. All backorders will be charged shipping.  
 

Shipping Orders & Requests
We are at your service to obtain the items you want. We have no extra charges for this, as long as the item is published or manufactured by our regular suppliers. We also are ready to assist schools and teachers by stocking required items or reserving stock as necessary. Please contact us as soon as possible to enable us to obtain such items in the required quantities. We also will be glad to stock required selections for state and local contests and competitions upon request.
