Flute Sales Specialist – Full Time Position, Accepting Resumes Until 5/15/17. CLOSED

Purpose:  To drive instrument sales at Flute World by connecting with the flute community and creating a customer network that includes performers, teachers and students. Through an unparalleled customer experience, cultivate Flute World as the premier destination for purchasing a flute, piccolo, or headjoint.

Responsibilities:

    • Expand client base by actively pursuing and developing new relationships with performers, teachers, and students.
    • Maintain phone and email contact with current and previous clients.
    • Work with Director of Sales to develop marketing strategies to increase sales; i.e. e-mail newsletters, teacher incentives, etc.
    • Lead individualized appointments to assist clients in choosing an instrument appropriate for their age, ability level, and budget.
    • Work with flutists via phone/skype to set up the shipping of instruments for in home trials.
    • Manage memberships to regional and national flute clubs.
    • Coordinate and attend regional and national trade shows to promote Flute World and meet new clients.
    • Process financing applications and invoice instrument sales.
    • Assist in maintaining the flute portion of the Flute World website and social media accounts.
    • Play test new flute inventory and flute repairs completed by the repair shop.
    • Research market value of used instruments and process consignments.
    • Uphold the core values of our company.

 

Skills/Attributes Required:

    • Musical background with flute as primary instrument. Undergraduate degree in music and/or business preferred.
    • Industry experience preferred, but not required.
    • Strong communication skills via phone, email, and in person.
    • Professional demeanor and appearance.
    • Positive, results oriented personality with hands-on attitude.
    • Excellent writing, presentation, and organizational skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
    • Able to learn new CRM software (NetSuite) quickly and utilize system to full potential.
    • Willingness to travel as needed; weekend hours required.

Customer Experience/Order Processing – Full Time Position, Currently Accepting Resumes. CLOSED

Purpose: Provide an exceptional experience for Flute World clients in person, via phone, and through web/email communication. Assist clients with transactions, pull and process orders, and maintain sales floor.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer phone calls and direct clients to the appropriate department.
  • Greet and assist walk-in customers.
  • All aspects of order processing including maintaining customer database, order entry, pulling orders, billing/invoicing.
  • Resolve customer concerns by finding a solution that is in the best interest of the customer and the company.
  • Communicate and coordinate with coworkers to fulfill customer needs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes in order to positively impact the customer experience.
  • Shelve and barcode print music.
  • Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.
  • Assist in maintaining Flute World website (price updates, scanning images, etc.).
  • Assist in keeping retail area stocked and effectively merchandised with accessory and print product.
  • Uphold the core values of our company.

 

Requirements:

  • Musical background – ability to read music and play an instrument (preferably flute).
  • Minimum 1-year experience in customer service.
  • Strong communication skills via phone, email, and in person.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Positive attitude and results oriented personality.
  • Advanced time management, problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Able to learn new CRM software (NetSuite) quickly and utilize system to full potential.
  • Must be able to work Saturdays.
