Concerto in Olden Style for Piccolo and Piano by Larry SingerEdited by Clemente BaroneFor Piccolo and Piano
It is called Concerto in Olden Style as it resembles a Baroque concerto both structurally and harmonically. The legendary Clemente Barone added a good deal of embellishment and flourish to Mr. Singer's original work, and the resulting Concerto culminates in a sound that approaches Spanish Flamenco.
The composition is very listenable for audiences, and is in itself quite unique because of its unusual style. It was warmly received at its initial presentation and the composer quickly produced a piccolo and piano reduction to make the composition readily available for performance.
