Sudeley Castle lies 7 miles north of Cheltenham in a glorious part of England called the Cotswolds. Sudeley Castle has royal connections going gack to the 10th century, and remained a Crown property throughout the Tudor age. Granted to Court favourites, Sudeley became the palace of Queen Katherine Parr, who died there, and is buried in the Chapel, now known as St. Mary's Church. Katherine Parr had splendid gardens laid out, the beautiful centre piece being the Queen's Garden.
After many years of neglect, the Castle has now been restored to its original Tudor glory. There are many art treasures, antiques, arms and armour and some fine paintings by Turner, Rubens and Van Dyck.
