We Three Kings by John H. Hopkins, Jr. (1820-1891) arranged for Flute and Piano by Wayne Fritchie
This famous carol was written in 1857, but did not appear in print until 1863. Hopkins was an Episcopal priest, and organized an elaborate holiday pageant that featured this hymn while serving as the music director of the General Theological Seminary in New York City. The flute carries the melody line, along with additional embellishment as it moves into the next verse.
