Description
Altus Silver Series models are distinguished by a variety of tube materials and manufacturing techniques. Standard features include the Altus/Bennett scale, exclusive SP-1 springs, French-pointed keys, hand-carved lip plates, gizmo key, and D# roller.
The 1307 is crafted from a traditionally created silver alloy composed of 95.8% silver. The remaining common metals balance a dark, rich tonal color without sacrificing brilliance. Advanced players and teachers appreciate its immediate reaction to player demands due to its customizable character, and its ability to demonstrate a vast palette of tone colors and technique with clarity and precision.
Each Altus flute includes a case, cover, cleaning rod, and cleaning cloth.
Headjoint Styles:
Classic Cut – Oval shaped embouchure hole – produces a sweet sound with flexibility and penetrating projection. Renowned for producing the trademark Altus sound.
Z Cut – More rectangular shaped embouchure hole and minimal over and undercutting, produces a quick response without sacrificing agility. Offers full projection over the entire range of the flute and a darker more dramatic tone color.
V Cut – The newest cut from Altus. The lip plate has a dramatic angle at the blowing edge. Most players find this option more powerful than the Classic or Z cut, with a gorgeous colorful sound.
