Autumn by Cecile Chaminade
Arranged for Flute and Piano by Trevor Wye
This piece was originally written as a piano solo! Chaminade gave many piano recitals, at the end of which her audience predictably shouted ‘Bis, bis, Automne!(Encore-Automne!) It became her most popular work for the piano and justifiably so, with it’s wonderfully haunting melody. It’s a great tune and a good chance for a pianist to show off a bit.
