Commissioned by the Palisades Virtuosi ensemble in 2008
Over the life of the Palisades Virtuosi, the ensemble has commissioned some 50 new works from outstanding American composers for their trio's instrumentation of flute, clarinet, and piano.
Three movements reflect different levels of birds:
