Description
Carnival of Venice (Il Carnevale di Venezia), Op78 by Giukio Briccialdi
Arranged for 1 or 2 Flutes and Piano by Erv Monroe
The Carnival of Venice is one of the most popular melodies of all time. Certainly much of the popularity stems from the fact that the melody is so conducive to arrangement and ornamentation. There have been endless sets of variations built on this theme, and at least five famous flutists in the late 1800s composed sets of variations to this quaint melody.
