Instrumentation: Flute and Guitar
A modern American composer, he is also a guitarist and teacher. This piece is a quiet, meditative dialogue between the flute and guitar. Written with a mellow jazz flavor, this piece features the guitar in a traditional accompaniment role and it then assumes the melodic function through the use of tremolo. The flute, through the use of arpeggios and embellishments, elaborates upon the theme and finally is brought to a gentle conclusion.
