Concerto in g minor (HWV287) by G.F. Handel
For Flute and Piano
New Edition by Terence Best
Piano Reduction by Andreas Kohs
Originally for Oboe and Orchestra
The concerto in g minor, HWV287, has always been known as the oboe concerto, in a text derived from an unreliable 19th century print which has hitherto been its only source. This new edition, with an option for the transverse flute as the solo instrument, is based on a set of contemporary orchestral parts which have only recently come to light.
