Along with his musical contemporary and friend Isaac Albeniz, Enrique Granados helped shape the direction that Spanish music would take at the beginning of the 20th century. In this arrangement of one of Granados' early piano works, we hear the insistent melodies, rhythms and colors that characterize his very individual compositional style. This arrangement for flute choir is scored for piccolo, three c-flutes, alto flute and bass flute and may be performed effectively either one-on-a-part or with judicious doubling for a larger ensembles.
