Do a Duet
Composer: Valarie Morris (October 1991)
Publisher: Sandscape Publications
Instrumentation: Flute and Clarinet
Includes score and parts
This an upbeat exploration in timbres and harmonies between two closely related wind instruments. By listening for the fourths, thirds and tritones, the balance will be found between the two instruments to best display new timbres in the contrasting parts, as well as in the unison or octave parts. In this classical contemporary piece, the flute and clarinet also play with counterpoint, along with call and response.
