Four Brazilian Rags by Ernesto Nazareth
Transcribed for Piccolo and Piano by Mary Ann and Frank Archer
These four pieces by Ernesto Júlio de Nazareth were originally written for piano. Transcribed here for piccolo, these works show off both sides of the piccolo’s possibilities, the brilliant and the plaintive. The first work, Encantador, also includes an optional transposition such that it can be played on alto flute.
