Description
Four Seasons in Maine, composed in 1998 by Harrison Roper
Composed for Joan Curtiss and The Howlin' Winds, a Maine professional flute choir.
Program and performance notes by the composer are in the score. The four movements are descriptive of each season, and some movements are technically demanding in the effects the music depicts; a good challange for good players.
1) Walking Tune (Autumn)
2) Icy Wind, Comet Song (Winter)
3) Rushing Stream and Swallows (Spring)
4) A Small Sail (Summer)
Instrumentation:
