A contemporary French composer, conducter and flutist, he is the founder of the International Competition for Young Hopeful Flutists. Thie piece is about a fairy who lives near the fountain of Broceliande, a magical fountain mentioned in medieval texts as one that can trigger storms. It is first mentioned around 1160, and, by the end of the twelfth century, it is associated with the Arthurian legend, becoming a test for the knights of British court.
