Ormond Sonate for Flute and Organ by Peter Planyavsky
Instrumentation: Flute and Organ
Includes organ score and flute part
This virtuoso piece is named after its Australian place of origin. A light organ writing makes room for the flute for cantilenas, but also for rhythmically pointed dialogue, which remains stimulating not least because of the invigorating meter changes in the musical flow: a "grateful" opus in this not very frequent combination of instruments.
