Overture to Euryanthe by Carl Maria von Weber
Arranged for 4 C Flutes, Alto Flute and Bass Flute by Ricky Lombardo
Includes optional 5th and 6th C Flute parts which can be used as substitutes for Alto Flute and Bass Flute
“Overture to Euryanthe” is a fine example of literature from the Romantic Era. The operatic story is based on a 13th century romance. Only the overture is regularly played today. This is a major work for the expandable flute choir. The arrangement is quite technical with numerous tempo and dynamic changes throughout. In order to play the arrangement correctly it really needs to be done up to tempo.
