Parts only (no score).
Prikichi, Chuchubi, and other Birds of Curacao is made up of the actual songs produced by the many colorful birds that inhabit this island in the Netherlands Antilles of the Southern Caribbean Sea.
The piece can be effectively performed by two, three, or four C flutes. All players play all of the songs, but begin with different ones. Starting places are marked in the score with numbers 1 to 4. Stagger the entrances as the birds would.
Players are asked to replicate the original songs as closely as possible by repeating each song once, twice, or sometimes three times, and leaving space between songs for others to be heard in response.
