Progressive Jazz Studies for Flute: Intermediate
Edited by James Rae
This book provides players at an intermediate level with the basic 'tools for the trade' for jazz improvisation. With a considerable amount of very playable music, it also introduces the player to the most common jazz tonalities. Though not essential, it is helpful if the student has worked through Progressive Jazz Studies Easy Level. The Easy Level book covers the real basics of jazz and leads smoothly on to this publication.
Section 1: Taking a tune and jazzing it up
Section 2: Studies in various tonalities
