“Rinaldo” Ouverture, Aria, and Duet composed by G.F. Handel
Edited by Gerhard Braun for two Flutes and Piano
Includes score and parts

“From a print by John Walsh; edited by Gerhard Braun, realization by Siegfried Petrenz.  Many of the lofty aristocracy (English) voiced their great impatience to hear an opera from his pen.  In order to satisfy their urgent wish, 'Rinaldo' was composed-his first work to originate in England-within the space of a fortnight. Rinaldo was a huge success. Between the premiere on February 24th 1711 and June of the same year the opera was given 15 times.  Soon the celebrated arias like “Cara sposa” and “Lascia ch'io pianga” were being sung or played on every conveivable instrument the length and breadth of England.” -Forward
