The manuscript on which the present edition is based contains only a few dynamic markings. These can be widely supplemented, particularly n a performace with modern Böhm flutes. The editor has added a number of articulation marks, has emended the articulation in some cases to make it consistent and has corrected certain minor inaccuracies in the source material.
