This collection of five solos at the intermediate level can be enjoyed by all. The traditional carols are first stated in the familiar manner while the variation is more contemporary and filled with surprises. An example of this is part of “Deck the Halls” written as a waltz. The piano accompaniment, being more difficult, has beautiful sonorities and intriguing harmony which adds a new dimension to the arrangements.
