Composer: Ernst Gottlieb Baron (1696-1760)
Edited by Philippe Meunier
Ornamentation and cadences by Frank Nagel
Publisher: Breitkopf and Hartel
Instrumentation: Flute and Guitar

A German Baroque composer, he was also a lutenist, writer of music, along with studying both law and philosophy. Originally written for transverse flute and lute, it was transcribed for flute and guitar. Like the majority of Baron's works, a stream of melody of great freshness flows through the piece, which cannot fail to touch the listener. The movements are Allegro, Adagio and Presto.
