Sonata in b minor (BWV1030) for Flute and Harpsichord composed by JS Bach (1685-1750)
Edited for Flute and Piano and with a commentary by Barthold Kuijken
Includes score and parts
Bach’s B-minor Sonata raises a great deal of questions related to the genesis of the work and the solo instrument it was originally intended for. This was a challenging task for Barthold Kuijken, who has turned up with a number of baffling new findings which are expounded in his meticulous and lucid comments. Kuijken ultimately leaves it up to the reader and performer “enlightened” through his comprehensive information – to draw their own conclusions.
