Sonata in G Major, Op3 #1 composed by Friedrich Wilhelm Heinrich Benda (1745-1814)
Edited by Hugo Ruf for Flute and Piano
Includes score and parts
Among those works which enjoyed success during Friedrich Benda's lifetime can be counted, as K.F. Cramer testified in his Magazin fur Musik, some of his published compositions for obbligato keyboard instrument (harpsichord or fortepiano) with flute or violin accompaniment. The first sonata from Opus III is highly effective in performance, giving rewarding opportunities not only to the keyboard instrument but also to the flute, which in now way plays merely accompanying role.
