Description
Sonatine Américaine
Composed by Jindrich Feld
For flute and piano
Published by Alphonse Leduc
Spiralbound edition
Written in 2000, this thirteen minute work challenges the most seasoned flute player. The first movement is written in 3/4 time with many leaps and jumps between octaves, predominately sixteenth note work. The second movement is an Andante Tranquillo in 6/8 time with flowing passages. The third movement is a Scherzino Presto in 6/8 time which generally moves right along with mostly triplet passages. The final movement, Allegro Giusto is in 4/4 time mainly and wildly culminates this virtuosic work.
