This arrangement of the Finale of Haydn's Symphony No. 6 “Le Matin” was first performed at the National Flute Association Convention in Dallas by the Perspectives 2001 Flute Orchestra conducted by Dr. Adah Toland Jones. The theme of the program was “morning” music and included At the Dawning of the Day, an original composition by Gordon Jones, Edvard Grieg's “Morning Mood” from the Peer Gynt Suite, and Au Matin by Benjamin Godard.
