Tarantellas are fun to play and fun to listen to – and this one by Stephen Heller (Op. 85, No. 2) is a favorite. Originally written for piano, this transcription retains all the features of the original, retaining the feel of a rousing dance and providing ample opportunity for each instrument to participate. Heller's Tarentelle elicits enthusiasm from both the performers and audience.
