Thirty-Four Pieces for Flute Solo: Flute Solos From The 18th Century for Intermediate-Level Players and Beyond
Selected by Rien de Reede
In his latest edition, Dutch flutist Rien de Reede undertakes time travel into the 18th century. This album contains 34 works for flute solo, which he has selected with great care and edited according to historical music aspects. Not all works can be attributed to a composer – often one can only speculate. Of course the names of great artists of this epoch such as Quantz, Blavet, Taillart, Mahaut and others which had a decisive influence on the flute, are not missing!
