An Italian composer, he began his musical career on cello, before moving to the guitar. He composed over 400 works for the guitar, along with a method book. This piece was written around 1823, and each duo has two movements. The first duo has a Largo and Allegretto grazioso, the second has an Andante affettuoso and Allegretto con poco moto, and the third has Larghetto grazioso and Allegretto.
