Born in 1970, contemporary French composer, conducter and flutist Eric Ledeuil is the founder of the International Competition for Young Hopeful Flutists.
Ledeuil has a broad range of skills, but his greatest passion is teaching. He has composed a variety of educational books to enrich the Flute repertoire. 25 Specific Studies is aimed at intermediate-level flautists, with each exercise focusing on one or two specific musical elements. The final five studies of Ledeuil's book encompass all elements. All styles are exemplified throughout this volume, from baroque to contemporary. With all these combined aspects in mind, 25 Specific Studies for Flute makes for an exciting and progressive compilation for aspiring flautists.
