Une Affaire de Famille (A Family Affair) by Louis Moyse, composed for the National Flute Association's 5th anniversary in 1977.
In addition to this ensemble comprising the “flute family”, the title refers to the many snippets, snatches, and asides (the family's inside jokes) from flute solo and orchestral repertoire. The six movements portray a reunion of an extended family, listening in on the conversational interplay, sharing news, remembering loved ones, and recounting favorite stories,
