Flute Technician (DTW)
Instrument Service Specialist – Birmingham, MI
This role will work closely with our Service Team Lead and Trial Coordinator as well as the Flute Sales Team in setting up, maintaining and repairing stock and client instruments.
Main Responsibilities:
- Service instruments to Flute World’s standards
- Assess instruments and provide client estimates
- Successfully and efficiently troubleshoot and complete repair work

Perform Master Services (Clean, Oil, Adjust and Optimize) and Mechanical Restorations
- Maintain store stock
- Inspect new inventory
- Prepare instruments for trials, appointments, and shows
- Evaluate pre-owned instruments for potential consignments/purchases
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Team player who leads by example
- 2 to 3 years experience in flute repair
- Ability to play test on flute and piccolo
- Must live in greater Detroit area or be willing to move
