About Jupiter
Founded in 1979, Jupiter Wind Instruments was created by KHS Musical Instruments, Co., Ltd, one of the largest and most respected musical instrument manufacturers in the world today. The name “KHS” stands for Kong Hsue Sheh, which translates to “Contribution,” “School,” and “Society.” As the American branch of the company, KHS America continues this mission by offering high-quality instruments and services that enrich lives through music performance and education, supporting musicians, educators, and retail partners alike.
OUR MISSION
Jupiter believes that music is an essential part of life, both for individuals and for society as a whole. We are committed to providing innovative and dependable instruments that help foster a love for music and elevate lives through performance.
OUR CRAFTSMANSHIP
We understand that high-quality instruments are crucial for building confidence in students and encouraging their creativity as their skills develop. Jupiter’s instruments are designed in collaboration with top educators, professional players, and repair technicians to ensure consistent, reliable performance across all levels. With carefully chosen features and materials, Jupiter instruments exceed expectations.
Additionally, our groundbreaking Performance Care Warranty further supports students by ensuring coverage for all student woodwind and brass models throughout their time in school music programs.
OUR BRAND STORY
Jupiter remains focused on its mission to enhance culture through music. We don’t just provide high-quality instruments; we are strong advocates for music education and active participants in the music-making community.
By working closely with leading figures in the musical world, Jupiter strives to create instruments that strike the perfect balance of value and quality, making us the first choice for both performers and educators.
OUR COMMITMENT TO EDUCATION
Music teaches us an essential lesson: success is best achieved when we work together. In 2017, KHS America launched the Academic Alliance program to strengthen the critical partnership between school music programs, school music dealers, and instrument manufacturers. The program, which is open to all K-12 public and private school band programs in the U.S., offers free membership and a variety of benefits aimed at enhancing the student experience, fostering program growth, and recognizing the incredible work of music educators.
