Amasia
Flute part and Guitar score
Composer: Boutros
Publisher: Lemoine
Instrumentation: Flute and Guitar
A modern French composer with Armenian parents, he was attracted to music from oral traditions as a youth. From there, he became interested in flamenco, popular Brazilian and Argentinian music, before finally following the music through to its origins. Since 1192, he has composed several works that are imbued with the characteristic modes and rhythms of Asia Minor. The title of this piece comes from the name of his duo with clarinettist Dominique Vidal.
