Introduction:
      This musical tour of 20 countries offers a wide variety of styles, in the form of fun and challenging duets of varying difficulty. 
      For each country, I have tried to imitate the music of local traditional styles, however some pieces are more caricature than true pastiche. Egypt, for example, is written in the style often used by western films and video games to suggest desert landscapes. Other countries, including Trinidad and Tobago, Mexico, Azerbaijan and Bulgaria, are written as more faithful representations of traditional folk music and dances. 

Some of the less familiar styles and terminology include:
Gopak: a traditional Russian dance in 2 (an example being Mussorgsky's famous Gopak from Sorochyntsi Fair).
Slip Jig: a jig but in 9/8, instead of the usual 6/8.
Huapango: a mexican dance in 6, often changing between 2 and 3 time (America from West Side Story is marked in the music Tempo di Huapango).
Lassú: a Hungarian term meaning slow, and used by Liszt to denote slow sections, notably in his Hungarian Rhapsodies.
Soukous: a lively syncopated African dance, the rhythm of which has found its way into recent western dance music.
Rachenica: a Bulgarian dance in 7, with a 2+2+3 division.
