.925 Sterling Silver: Burkart standard silver headjoints are made of sterling silver, which produces a solid, warm timbre and a brilliance and shimmer in the sound.

9KAg: The exterior is 9K gold and the interior is sterling silver. This flute marries the best timbral qualities of gold and silver. Rich in esthetic appeal, the 9K Gold on Silver is extremely rewarding to play.

5-95: The 5-95 body and headjoint are made from 5% pure platinum and 95% pure silver, with a wall thickness of 0.016″. The headjoint delivers an increased range or spectrum of color as with gold or platinum, but with considerably less weight. Combining focused sounds and good projection, the dynamics and intensity are greater than sterling silver.

.998 Pure Silver: The 998 silver flute has the tonal depth and color of a platinum flute, but speaks with the shimmer and projection of a silver flute. The resonance of this flute is the result of its extraordinary 99.8% pure silver content. The brilliance of silver, warmth and depth of gold, and projection of platinum are all found in one material.

10K: The 10K rose gold headjoint offers the flutist the opportunity to explore the added depth of gold while retaining the beautiful brilliance of a silver flute.

14K: headjoint produces a full, deep, rich timbre. The white gold tube produces an especially clear, resonant sound with excellent overtones and a wide palette.

S4 Cut: This embouchure, derived from a traditional style, produces a pure, warm sound. It is noted for its flexibility in air stream direction and expressiveness. The player will experience evenness in all three octaves, and effortless articulation. The stability and ease of play allow for nuances within a wide pallet of color creating a sound full of brilliant richness and depth.

M2 Cut: This unique cut is Lillian Burkart’s most innovative. The air stream is quickly excited and the player achieves exceptional response and projection. The embouchure shape focuses the tone, resulting in a clear, clean, and very directed flute sound. All three octaves have a ringing resonance and a dark core. The M2 model provides an unprecedented dynamic range and powerful low register.
