Commissioned by Christine Erlander Beard and Mary Ann Archer, Distant Echoes for two piccolos was premiered at the 2015 National Flute Association convention in Washington DC. This work consists of two movements which are inspired by the sensation of seeing reflections in water, as well as the distortions caused when disturbed by motion.
