This collection contains works which will be appealing to flutists of all ages, as well as to the listening audience.  The piano accompaniments, although not difficult, are given equal partnership wtih the flute.  Of particular interest is the background information about each composer, included in the flute book.  A glossary of French terms in both the flute and piano books will be helpful.  

Seventeen short solos for flute and piano by eleven composers associated with the Paris Conservatory comprise this collection. Not as difficult as the “morceaux de concours”, they are charming and descriptive – a welcome addition to the repertoire for the intermediate level flutist. Composers include Pessard, Tulou, Altes, Duvernoy, and others.
