Forlane for Flute and Piano by Germaine Tailleferre
Dedication: Jean-Pierre Bourillon
Piano score and flute part (flute part serves as the inside of the outer cover – accompaniment is stapled inside)
Written in 1972 and dedicated to flutist Jean-Pierre Bourillon, Forlane is based upon a seventeenth century Italian dance, the Forlana, which was often performed by courting couples. French composer Germaine Tailleferre (1892-1983) was the only female member member of the group of composers known as Les Six.
