Each of these legends relates to visual arts: the first three depicted by Hiroshige in various prints, and the last one purportedly describing the work itself. Despite these connections, the player of these pieces ought not to think of recreating visual images, but preferably should play them as a narrator, as if telling stories to an appreciative audience which may already know them, but nevertheless enjoys an effective retelling of them.
