Originally written and sugn for Thanksgiving, Jingle Bells was published in the autumn of 1857 under the title “One Horse Open Sleigh”. Since that time, it has become one of the best-known and commonly sung winter songs in the world. In this arrangement, the melody is passed around, and the jazz rhythms have been written out for the flutists.
