The hardest of the caprices written by solo violin, this piece was originally performed by Free Flight, a crossover ensemble led by Jim Walker that blended classical, jazz, new age and rock music together into a palatable whole.  The jazz variations of the caprice were written by Mike Garson, and flow directly into each variation.
