Pandora is based on the Greek myth of the first woman.  She is tempted by a beautiful box, but is given strict orders never to open this gift.  Curiousity gets the best of Pandora, and she opens the box.  Out flies the emotions of jealousy, greed, hatred and many other evil emotions.  The last emotion to fly out is hope, which makes the opening of the box a special act.
